Aimée's Collection: Vintage DuBarry 1940s Dress Pattern

DuBarry Pattern Number 5587, Circa 1943

7 Pattern Pieces

Pattern Description:

Misses' One-Piece Dress:  Bodice gathers below the yoke front.  An inset belt joins bodice and dirndl skirt. Skirt has two patch pockets.  Short sleeves are used.  Fig. II has a ruffle trimming at outer edges of yoke and upper edge of pocket.

My Comments:

This is one of the lesser known and harder to find vintage DuBarry patterns.  One interesting thing to note about this particular pattern is that it seems to have a misprint.  Notice in the upper right hand corner of the pattern it says that the pattern size is 16, yet in the middle of the pattern, across the girls skirts, is printed, "Size 14"
