Aimee's Collection: Awesome 1940s Lace & Bows Dress
Simplicity Pattern Number 4297, Copyright Circa Late 1940s
Pattern Description:
Misses' and Women's Dress. The bodice is topped with a softly gathered yoke which ends in a dainty ruffle below the ribbon trimming in Style I and II. The skirt is gathered to a pointed yoke and a narrow belt marks the waistline. The short sleeves are gathered at the top and a ruffle and ribbon make an attractive finish.
My Comments:
This dress is sooooo neat! I love the use of lace or dotted swiss as an overlay dress (which is why I prefer the one on the right. I love how there is the use of lace around the neckline as well. I'm going to make this one sometime soon and start wearing it!!!
